Mike joined IG Wealth Management in 2002 as a Financial Consultant.  He was appointed to the role of Division Director and served as Branch Manager of the Newmarket Region from 2005 to 2016.

In 2017, Mike transitioned out of the management role to focus on financial planning for client families and to build a successful personal practice. Mike has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional since 2008 and earned the Master Financial Advisor of Philanthropy designation in 2020.

Before joining IG, Mike spent 10 years in the United States, where he played NCAA and Professional hockey. Outside of work, Mike enjoys playing golf, reading and is passionate about supporting charities that focus on mental health, addiction, and animal welfare. He is also a foster parent for an animal rescue organization. Occasionally, his dogs Tucker and Lulu have been known to make guest appearances during client Zoom meetings when he works from his home office.
